As an active member in the Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation (MCFP), Dr. Shamsher has represented various high-profile individuals such as Datuk Seri Najib Razak, ministers and members of parliament.​

He holds a Ph.D in Criminology from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), and he strongly believes in the Latin maxim "fiat justita ruat caelum", which means - Let justice be done through the heaven falls.

Dr. Shamsher's partnership and friendship with Gunamalar is unbreakable as both of them worked hand-in-hand in most of the cases. From constitutional matters such as the legality of unilateral religion conversion of children, to penal offences carrying capital sentence such as murder and drug trafficking, Dr. Shamsher acted as counsel in many of the matters.
